There are nearly 8 million children in the United States, over 3,000 live
in Christian County alone, that live in single parent households. Over 85% of our
children that find themselves in juvenile court are from single parent homes. Not
all children form single parent homes need the services of our programs, but for one
fourth of these children, there is no support system or extended family members to help.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christian County strives to make the
difference by providing positive adult role models for youth-at-risk in Christian
County. Because of the different needs of our at-risk population and the commitment
level of volunteers, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christian County provides many
opportunities for volunteers to serve.
