Kentucky marriage licenses are issued in the County Clerk's office. Both the Bride and Groom must be present to apply for the licenses. The license is valid for 30 days from the purchase date and the fee is non-refundable. THE MARRIAGE CEREMONY MUST BE PREFORMED WITHIN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY. The cost of the license is $35.50, we accept cash, check and debit cards only.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

You must be 18 years of age to be married in Kentucky without parental consent. Please be sure to bring a picture id when applying for the license. Applicants 16 & 17 years of age must have parental consent, if parents are divorced and have joint custody then both parents must be present to sign. If parents are divorced and one has sole custody we will need a copy of the divorce papers signed by the judge stating which parent has sole custody.

The applicant 16 and/or 17 must be a resident of the county where he/she is applying for a license in the state of Kentucky. Be sure to bring a picture id, original birth certificate, social security card, school records (proof or residence). If both applicants are under age, then the application needs to be made in the bride's county of residence. No one under the age of 16 may be issued a license unless they are pregnant and have a District Court Judge issue a court order directing the County Clerk to allow a application to be processed.
